11 local guides from Mumbai teeming with enthusiasm and hearts full of joy and camaraderie had a gala of time at Central Park.
Several local guides like @AshmizaShah and @NikhilDubey46 attended a meetup for the first time.
Mayuri, a renowned writer of several books, hosted the meetup for the first time.
Early birds arrived and were all smiles meeting after a long time.
Soon we got into chatting, small talk, and subsequently deep conversations around Google Maps, LG Connect, accessibility, sustainability, and supporting small businesses in Mumbai.
As more local guides joined, the tribe grew fast.
We checked accessibility at:
- The main entrance.
- Washroom toilets.
- Walkways.
Local guides took occasional breaks to take selfies, creating great memories of this meetup.
Local guides from across the globe joined the meetup virtually via Google Meet.
Thank you @JustJake for taking the time to join across several time zones
After enjoying the sights of the magnificent park, local guides settled down for evening snacks at Veg Sizzles.
We had fun with games
and quizzes
exchanged ideas
photography tips-tricks
travel tales
and got to know each other
Souvenir cards with signatures were exchanged and badges were distributed.
Long live the Spirit of Mumbai local guides who traveled hundreds of kilometers to spend a gala evening on 11 May 2024
HereтАЩs the timeline:
The next morning, I took a flight to the US.
Whereas Mumbai local guides poured into Central Park from far off, American local guides expected me to travel to their towns and suburbs for meetups! Bummer
