When places have any photos of what they look like from the outside it helps those who are going there for the first time to locate them easily.
Last month my top viewed photo on Google Maps that was featured for a business in Delhi was abruptly removed and a much older photo is now used.
I noticed that the current photo is a corner view whereas the one uploaded by me was a front-facing photo of the shop. I concluded that corner photos are preferred. As a result, I tried to capture as many corner views of businesses on the Baner Road of Pune during my meetup on Tuesday 17-August-2021

I was joined by local guides @abhishekpatk in person and @AjitThite was with us online. As decided, we started outside the DominioтАЩs Pizza outlet on Baner Road and captured storefront photos of as many shops as possible in 45 minutes on Baner Road, and added many of those to Google Maps.

We tried to capture photos that clearly showed the entrance, the name and details of the shop, and the width of the pavement around it among other details.
Here are a few storefront photos of businesses on Baner Road in Pune.
Ranka Jewelers - showing the block pavement that is leveled with the main road and also the railings along the staircase.
Carpet Decor - Showing the place is not accessible for a wheelchair
Archies Stores - Showing hand railings along the stairs and how the shop will look from the roadside parking.
Lizette - I purchased Fries and Shwarma from here. The photo shows they have high chairs even from outside.
Also, the storefront shows the full menu - Momos, Shwarma and Burgers.
Cantabil and Puma Outlets - night view.
Storefront shows they have parking in front of the shop and an entrance to the underground parking.
Bata Showroom - Storefront showing a sale is going on presently.
Also shows there is plenty of parking available in the front yard.
Cotton King and Linen King - Shows 2-wheeler parking space in the front of the store.
Adidas, Puma, Cantabil, Reebok, and ShoeXpress outlets - daytime view.
Storefronts show the parking space and also the hand railings.
Monginis and Chaat Bazar - Storefronts show that pure veg and Jain food is available.
Wadeshwar -Storefront from across the street shows covered outdoor seating is available.
Caption: Zooming past on the Baner road is the classic Indian Rickshaw on the extreme right and on the left is the typical delivery person in uniform riding an Indian bike.
Conclusion
It was a fun photo walk with Abhishek with Ajit joining online to encourage us.
We had Masala Chai Tea from a roadside shop and Abhishek also captured some storefront pictures.
I am sure such storefront photos will help Googe Maps users a lot when locating the shop easily especially when they are located amidst a crowd of other shops on Baner road which has evolved from a humble walkway to an extra-wide and superrich shopping street over the centuries.
