When places have photos on Google Maps of what they look like from the outside it helps those who are going there for the first time to locate them easily.
Here’s the storefront photo of the famous Hotel Shivanjali on Sus Road in Pune that shows
a. The accessible entrance,
b. Outdoor ambiance and decorations,
c. Parking,
d. Tactile Path,
e. Wheelchair accessible entrance
f. Social distancing instructions
- all in a single frame.
Why was the storefront photo taken from a corner view?
Last month my top viewed photo on Google Maps that was featured for a business in Delhi was abruptly removed and a much older photo is now used.
I noticed that the current photo is a corner view whereas the one uploaded by me was a front-facing photo of the shop. I concluded that corner photos are preferred. As a result, I tried to capture as many corner views of businesses on the East Sus Road in Pune during my meetup on Wednesday 01-September-2021

Here’s the banner photo of the meetup:
I captured photos that clearly showed the entrance, the name and details of the shop, and the width of the pavement around it among other details.
