As you are aware, the Ganesh Festival is the largest celebration in India, with the majority of it taking place in the state of Maharashtra. Ganesh Ji is considered the primary deity in all Hindu rituals, and in the Konkan region, there are many more ways for people to celebrate this festival. Since I am from the Konkan, I chose my hometown of Khed Market for the Photowalk Meetup. Our city market is full of small businesses, many of which are situated there especially on special occasions and festivals. In accordance with the idea provided by and inspired local guide @AjitThite to Supporting small local businesses , we organized the Konkan region photo walk meetup on ganpati festival.
It’s getting harder to survive there on this rainy daily, My preferred method is by bike, where I stop at various businesses to browse their merchandise and take some pictures. yet a lot of stores are stocked with decorations and puja sahitya items.People in our city create a variety of beautiful decorations for their homes, but they need different supplies from the local area. As a result, our small local business owners packed their stores for the Ganesh festival. I managed to photograph and cover a few of these stores, which is sufficient to light up our market. Each store has unique items that are sold, including flowers, lights, and electrical outlets.People mostly avoid traveling to the large cities they purchase from since local shopkeepers frequently buy goods for big cities like Mumbai, Pune market, and resell here, and people also acquire what they want in their hometown.There are numerous creative shops in this neighborhood that take the materials that are purchased and create their own one-of-a-kind decorations.
In order to survive and expand their business, our small business owner stocks items primarily based on occasion, though stationary stores may occasionally carry certain items as well. At the photowalk meetup, we observed numerous shops that display a variety of goods based on customer demand, including decorations and pooja and sahitya items.
Additionally, there is a small local business owned by an artist who creates eco-friendly Shadu idols, or Ganpati idols, that are primarily purchased by people.Additionally, those local artists create quite lovely and alluring idols…
Twelve virtual attendees joined us for our photo walk meetup, and we had a great time. I really loved their company.I express my gratitude to everyone who attended, dedicating their important time to see and explore small, local businesses In my hometown.
