Reduce Reuse and Recycle ♻️

We have got a wonderful platform as a Google Maps through which we can help the environment. Even our small contribution will make a difference.

As an inherit habit, I always update the sustainability attributes religiously for the place I visit. I go to their Google Maps url and using Edit features under the About tab, update the Recycling attributes.

Even I ensure answering the questions about Recycling.

One such example I am highlighting here, where I found the Recycling Waste Bins categorically separated for:

  1. Dry waste: used for recyclable wastes like Glass bottles, Plastic bottles, Newspaper, Cans etc.

  2. Wet waste: used for compostable wastes like Egg shells, Disposables, Food items etc.

Immediately, I edit the feature for recycling attributes for this place and also uploaded the relevant photo on the Google Maps.

I am focussed and observant to identify and highlight Reduce, Reuse and Recycle:recycle: attributes on Google Maps for the places I visit. This example is taken from my visit to Ved Van Park.

What is your take on this to help the environment on Google Maps on the topic Recycle to Save Earth to Save Yourself. Please share in the comment box.

Keep building a well-informed community stronger :muscle: together.

Stay Happy, Stay Healthy!

Absolutely well done, @Kumaarsantosh .
This is exactly one of the activities suggested on my “Call to action” Earth Day 2025 Worldwide Meet-up - #LocalGuidesClean The World - Our Power, Our Planet™
Editing the recycling attributes of a location is extremely important for the community

Fabulous photo @Kumaarsantosh
I must agree I had little or no knowledge of this before.

I have added several recycle bins that are common out here in Pune.
But never knew about these attributes.
Thank you immensely :handshake:

These waste segregators are in thousands all over Pune.
I added about 8-10 from my neighborhood to Google Maps.

Nice photos Tushar. Captures the idea really well.

This concept is not well established in my country, but I’ll look out for any opportunity to do my bit.
