Shin-Yokohama Station / 新横浜駅

On your next visit to Japan, enjoy Shin-Yokohama Station. Here is one of the major hub stations connecting several train and bus lines in a centrally located part of North Yokohama.

For me, this is the ultimate one-stop - shopping location for just about every need. Not only is this a bullet train stop, but it has every amenity. The station is built into a shopping mall called Cubic Plaza with dozens of shops selling everything from electronics to groceries.

If you are looking for a very good breakfast at 6:30am head up to the Royal Host restaurant. You can enjoy both Western and Japanese style.

There are also a plethora of ATM machines and souvenir shops on the ground floor. There is a huge taxi rank on the basement floor as well. Basically, if you are organizing your itinerary and need a good connection from Tokyo to Shizuoka this is a good route for planning.

Thanks for all the amazing tips @Tony
The availability of 7-Eleven stores and cheap yet comfortable hotels very close to the station makes traveling in Japan a breeze. :bullettrain_side:

Shin-Yokohama, very convenient.
The subway also runs, and Tokyu provides good access to Shibuya and Meguro.

Please see youtube to see how it has developed since the Shinkansen was built.
The narration is in Japanese only, but you will be surprised!
