[Solved] The font of Persian Google Maps changed mistakenly

Hello

I wanna to inform one issue that happened since today and affects user experience.

The font of Google Maps in Persian language, changed to one font that is not Persian (I searched a lot and found this new font is for Punjabi language). This change caused some Persian numbers to be unreadable and unknown for Persian users.

This is screenshot of new numbers in Points section.

This also affected the views of photos and after this change, we (Persian users) can not read the views correctly.

Here is comparison of number characters in 3 languages:

Although there are some similarity between Persian and Punjabi characters, but in usage it will be really unreadable for Persian users when characters are replaced.

Dear @DeniGu I appreciate it if you can help to investigate this issue and revert back the Persian font to previous status.

I trust that you have checked and changed the language setting in the App to see if that could be the cause of the problem.

Thanks, Yes. This problem is in web version as the screenshot shows. And I checked the language in menu. Also we haven’t Punjabi language for Google Maps. So this is definitely a system change.

It is really unknown and hard to read in an unknown language (Punjabi) while you selected Persian!
