I am back again with an intent to re-emphasize the way we Support Small Businesses as a Local Guide. It is our social and moral responsibility to support small businesses by all means and it becomes more useful when we do so through the use of Google Maps.
In my first post in this series of Supporting Small Businesses I have explained as what sort of small businesses we can support and how to support them. Under What section,
Chaat Golgappe stall and Paan shop
are another small business which can be considered to support. In country like ours such shop is found in plenty of numbers almost at every corner of the street.

and How
A couple of times, I have visited Sai Ram Corner in South Extension, New Delhi while visiting South Ex market for shopping. This shop is also famous because of the fact that another guy comes in the evening and install freshly prepared Momos counter alonside. His Momos with a variety of presentations are equally mouth-watering.
During Covid pandemic, this shop got closed and since then it was in the closed state on Google Maps. When I last visited this area in the year 2023, I found this operational and took the live pictures as shared below. I updated the Google Maps and re-opened this shop on the Maps. I really loved their Bhalle Papdi Chaat.

With a Pani-Puri or Gol-Gappe shop, stall, or cart on virtually every street in India, this a good opportunity to support them and also improve our Google Maps profile + Google Maps usefulness
Thank you @TusharSuradkar for appreciating and liking this idea. Yes- you are right Golgappe/Panipuri shop, stall, or cart are there on virtually every street in India. And, a majority of them stick to the same location for a longer tenure.

However, to add a location to Google Maps need a ‘Unique’ & specific ADDRESS… just my thoughts…

Excellent post, bhalle papdi looks tempting. You are absolutely right @Kumaarsantosh as Local Guides we have a sense of moral responsibility to support the small and local businesses. There are many chaat and golgappe shops across India and many of them aren’t listed on Google Maps. The owners might be unaware of the huge potential Google Maps can offer them. It’s upto us to guide them and add their business details on Maps. I will keep an eye out for these shops and will add them on Maps. Thank you for sharing
