The Charming Doors in MOROCCO

When I enter a door without knowing what are inside and behind the door, I will get being curious more than scared. There are many stories happening behind a door very day and very second, no matter it is joy or sorrow, parting or union.

In Morocco, I found many charming doors that I can not take my eyes off it.

These fascinating doors always standing there waiting for us to go through or to take a photo. When the doors gobble people down deep inside, and the tourists vanishing from its front, the doors remain mysterious and silent again.

Hello @porkgoldzhuzhu ,

Thank you for sharing so many beautiful photos of various gates and doors in Morocco. Was this your first trip to this country? What did you enjoy the most?

As a person who grew up in Morocco and because you didn’t add any caption under the photos, I will introduce to the Local Guides some of the gates that I recognized. Please, correct me if I’m wrong.

The first photo is the gate to Kasbah of the Udayas in Rabat, the second photo is from the Royal Palace in Fes, the third is Bab Boujloud in Fes as well and the fourth is Bab Mansour from Meknes. The rest of the pictures is a mix of different areas in Asilah, Chefchaouen, Kasbah of the Udayas and many more.

@porkgoldzhuzhu , thank you and it was a real pleasure looking at your photos, reminding me of all those places that I know so well.

If you wish, you can always edit your posts by clicking on the circle with the three dots located on your top left hand corner.

The doors and arches are both grand and beautiful.

Is there any reason why they are painted blue? @porkgoldzhuzhu

Hi @TusharSuradkar not quite sure about the blue paintings, one of the sayings is to prevent the bugs or mosquitoes …
