A recent visit to China (my first) was amazing, i loved almost every little thing about it - the friendliness of the people, the amazing sights, the incredible food, the shopping …but it was so difficult to find a comfy bed! We stayed in an appartment in Shenzhen, which was great, but the beds themselves were little better than wood slabs. My old bones need more comfort than China provided in the bed department at least. Expats that we met livimg there agreed, they also found it difficult to find softer beds. Interesting! We also stayed in a hotel in Beijing that had firm beds. I really think thst a range of bed softness (??) Should be available at larger hotels, nothing worse than bad sleep!
Though if you get the opportunity to visit, make sure you visit the Great Wall, it is amazing - we werr lucky to have a beautiful clear dsy, but i suspect it would be incredible in any weathet - the building of the wall is some feat.
