Hi , How can I add the Metro Lanes into the map,
Hi @Mubarak-Albadwi , welcome to Connect, and thank you for asking.
The simple answer is: you cannot.
The reason is obvious: a metro line itself is totally useless without a correct and constantly updates timeline.
For this reason Transit is a service managed by Google Maps, in partnership with the transit companies.
For more information about this feature please read About Google Transit - Transit Partners Help
Thank you @ErmesT for your response.
Greetings @ErmesT !
I just wanted to thank you for your CLEAR, concise and consistent responses to questions posted in almost all categories on this new platform.
I learn SO MUCH by following you and reading your answers to all sorts of contributor inquiries. In particular, you remind me of how important it is to follow the program policies and guidelines, and every day I learn another valuable lesson/tip/trick via your thoughtful responses.
Thank you SO MUCH for all you do my friend!
Sincerely,
Samantha
Now I am blushing, Samantha, @SamanthaSheehy , especially because the compliments come from a GIS Specialist.
When I joined this community I was fortunate to have a mentor, @TraciC , who taught me to be a “rules” person. I learned that most rules would be useless if we all just used common sense, and I learned that rules are just applications of that common sense.
Many people think that rules are impositions, I try to explain the logic behind each rule, as in a recent post where I tried to explain the meaning of account by making a parallel with a driver’s license, or inviting people to be the one who finds their photo published by someone else.
Most of the questions that are asked in the community are always the same, and many prefer to give canned answers. I stopped doing that a long time ago, because every writer has the right to have “his own answer”, given after reading and (hopefully) understanding the question.
Sure, this way I answer fewer people, but I hope that those I answer can find help in the answer. I don’t think quantity can prevail over quality.
Thanks again for your nice comment, it’s a nice Christmas present.
A hug
