The new Bookmarks feature

:pushpin: Compared to the bookmarks in your browser, the new Connect bookmarks are far more intelligent. They can serve as a simple to-do list with reminders.

This guide is part of the Transition Tutorials.

Summary

For each bookmark, you can now set a reminder. This could be relevant when there is a deadline for a meet-up, when you plan to read something later, or you want a ping when it’s time to update your leaderboard data.

How to create a bookmark

At the bottom of every page, you will find this grey button:

Just hit the bookmark button to create a bookmark.

As seen above you can also Set a reminder. And under More options… you can refine the bookmark even further. One example is “Delete bookmark, once I reply,” which could be a useful reminder for a message.

Where to find your bookmarks

You find all your bookmarks by hitting your profile picture and then selecting Boookmarks as shown below.

Here is a sample bookmark:

Notice the deadline I chose is shown in the last line, and please also notice the 3-dot icon at the end of the line.

The 3-dot icon opens this menu:

Use it to remove, edit, or pin a bookmark.

Reminders will show up as notifications in your bell feed and as live notifications, depending on your notification settings.

This is the end of this tutorial.
