Thank you to all who joined our accessibility challengein honor of Global Accessibility Awareness Day in May! Over 580 Local Guides submitted reviews with helpful details about the wheelchair accessibility of places around them.
Our jury reviewed all the submissions against the challenge criteria. They were looking for authentic, high-quality reviews with a focus on accessibility, which followed the Maps user-generated content policy.
And the results are in! Over 430 Local Guides successfully fulfilled the challenge! We have awarded Connect challenge winner badges and the special Accessibility Challenge Winner badge to the Local Guides who qualified and included those with two or more wins in our running lists.
If you don’t have a new badge on your profile or you don’t see your name on the lists, don’t worry. More challenges are coming up!
Among the winning reviews, the jury picked a few of their favorite ones. They stood out due to their originality, quality, or value to others. Here they are:
Wow over 430 Local Guides successfully fulfilled the challenge! That’s a great result @DeniGu . Congratulations to all the badge winners and a special congratulations to jury picked favorites @DanHetx , @Lissanism , @Rolli_Auwald , @Gurukrishnapriya and @Izumi . I am going to read your contributions carefully so that I might learn how to write better accessibility reviews in future.
It was a very great challenge although it’s the second time we are having an accessibility challenge in very recent times. We hope other areas and aspects of the local guides program will be well explored on these challenges.
When’s the next challenge? Waiting…
Congratulations to all who are featured and all who won a particular time badges etc. I’m a 6th time winner so nothing to show for it more than my name on the running list.
Thanks for sharing the results with us dear G moderator @DeniGu And I am not able to understand for which challenge this badge is for me (three times connect challenge winner badge) because my two challenge results were announcemet pending.
1 women owned business
2 accessibility challenge.
So Which challenge is the Three Times Challenge Winner badge for?
Considering that you won the three times challenge badge in Connect today, when the second Accessibility challenge winners were announced, but your Accessibility challenge winner badge is dated Jan 23, it means that today you won, like me, your second Accessibility Challenge.
I feel very honoured for being one of the jury’s favorite winners @DeniGu . Thanks a ton, for this recognition. I feel great and very lucky to be a part of this community. This is one of my proudest moments as a Local guide. I dedicate this to all those who supported and motivated me.
