The Vanaz Clock Tower on Paud Road in Pune

The clock tower under the Vanaz Metro Station, standing at the UTurn, caught my attention yesterday.

It has dials on all 4 sides and is mounted on a metal pole nicely decorated with ornamental designs.

The pillar is mounted on a concrete pedestal.

Some dials were not working last week and may need some repair.

I immediately added this to Google Maps, and the edit was approved within minutes!

Thank you sharing with us @TusharSuradkar . Is the clock landmark of that place? I can see that clock must have historical value! We also have clock landmark called Methan Mani. It was installed by Maharaja. I think @TravellerG knows more about it than me.

We have 12 clock towers or public clocks in Pune that I have discovered so far.
This does not have much historical significance though it is just a public clock.

I am checking the place you shared…

Brief and nice post the clock tower under the Vanaz Metro Station - it looks very classical with vintage design…:+1::ok_hand:

I also am fortunate to get my edits approved almost immediately - of course, we need to be at the location for fast approval.
