CLARITY OF WHAT I WANT TO SAY :
PLACE : We go to many places and take photos whenever we get a chance but we don’t have time to edit them there. When we have time, we try to edit them and post them but sometimes we don’t remember where the place is on the maps, (or) the place is not added on the maps.
ROADS : Whether we want to add a new road to the maps or remove a road. We draw the road as it is in the satellite image or remove it if there is no road (now we remove it by clearly looking at the street view image instead of the satellite image). But how do we remember the place (if we add/remove it in other countries). How do we know if it has been accepted (or) rejected?
If we go to Contributions in our profile, we will see our edits. There, the statuses “Pending, Approved, Not Accepted” show what we have edited.
FOR EXAMPLE :
We have submitted a new road in a place and some roads are yet to be added, but we have only submitted one main road. Let’s say we get an email that the main road has been approved. But we have forgotten the place, so what should we do? If we go to Edits and click on the approved road, the place will appear and a pin will be shown at that place.
THE REAL PROBLEM :
But the real problem is that there are a lot of our edits there, so it is difficult to scroll down and find that road.
SOLUTION :
The solution to this is to pin / save that place until the roads are completely added to that place. Then we will easily know where the place is when we need it.
HOW TO SAVE? :
- We need to press and hold where we want to pin.
- In the following, click “Save”.
- Click “New List”.
- Then give the list a name, if possible, put an icon and keep it private (this is your choice).
- Finally, click “Create” and the place will be pinned as soon as you click.
Similarly, to avoid forgetting a place (store, mart, hospital, etc.),
to remember them. Now as mentioned above, when you go to that place, stay there and see if the place is on Maps. If it is on Maps, save it and keep it until you review it and add photos.
Once you are done adding the road (or) review and adding photos to the place, remove it from the save (if you need it, keep it, otherwise remove it).
