Transform Your Photos with Snapseed
Before and After: Simple Edits, Big Impact
Photo 1: Monument Transformation: From Dull to Dynamic.
Before (Original Image)
- The sky appears dull, and the overall image lacks contrast and sharpness. This is common in unedited photos with overcast lighting.
After (Snapseed Edits)
- Tune Image: Brightness and contrast adjustments make the details of the pole stand out.
- Details Tool: The sharpness has been enhanced, highlighting the intricate carvings.
- Vignette Effect: A subtle darkening around the edges draws focus toward the center, emphasizing the monument.
- Selective Adjustments: Likely used to brighten the sky while retaining detail in the monument.
Result (Creative Enhancement)
- Light Leaks: Adds a warm, artistic feel to the photo, giving it a more dynamic, creative look.
- Color Grading: The cool tone in the “After” was warmed up slightly in the final result, adding balance between blue and orange hues.
Pro Tips:
- Experiment with Filters: Snapseed’s filters can be used to achieve a dramatic look like in the “Result” image.
- Lightroom Fine-Tuning: After using Snapseed, import into Lightroom to fine-tune colors and details for professional-grade results.
This approach adds vibrancy to a dull photo while keeping the monument’s details sharp and engaging. Let me know if you’d like any adjustments!
Photo 2: Plant Against the Sky
Editing can turn an ordinary photo into something special. In this shot of a plant, I used Snapseed to enhance the colors, contrast, and detail.
Before: The image looks natural but lacks depth and color contrast.
After (Snapseed Edits)
- Color Grading: A purple hue was added to the background, creating a striking contrast with the yellow grass.
- Selective Adjust: The subject (grass) has been brightened, making it the focal point of the image.
- Lens Blur: A dreamy blur effect has been applied to the background, making the subject pop more.
Tip: Play with background colors to create unique moods in your photos, like adding a purple tint to contrast natural colors.
Photo 3: Plant in Water
Before: The original image is a bit flat, with muted colors and low contrast.
After (Snapseed Edits)
- Saturation Boost: The greens have been enhanced, making the plant look more vibrant.
- Details Tool: The texture of the leaves is now sharper and clearer.
- Vignette: Subtle darkening around the edges brings attention to the plant.
- Tip: Use selective saturation to make specific elements of your photo stand out without oversaturating the background.
Photo: 4 Coconut Trees (Before and After with Snapseed)
Lens Flare Effect:
- In the “After” image, I added a striking lens flare using the Lens Distortion app, creating a radiant, dynamic effect.
Color Enhancement:
- The greens in the coconut tree and surroundings are more vibrant, likely due to Snapseed’s “Tune Image” tool adjusting contrast, saturation, and brightness.
Shadows and Highlights:
- Shadows in the “After” photo are balanced, and highlights softened to prevent overexposure, likely using the “Highlights” and “Shadows” sliders in Snapseed…
Mood and Atmosphere:
- The overall mood has shifted from a regular day scene to something more cinematic and surreal, making the image more eye-catching.
Tip: To replicate this, use Snapseed’s “Drama” filter combined with “Lens Flare” Use Lens Distortion App for Lens Flare and balance the brightness to create a magical glow.
Photo: 5 Flower (Color Variations)
Color Pop and Filters:
- You’ve edited the same flower photo with different color tones. This could be achieved using the “Selective” tool or playing around with color filters in Snapseed.
Grayscale Edit:
- One of the variations turned the yellow flower to grayscale, emphasizing texture. This can be done with the “Black & White” filter, adjusting the brightness and contrast to maintain the details.
Intense Saturation:
- In another version, the flower has a greenish hue, which could be a combination of “Curves” and “Tuning Image” in Snapseed, altering the overall hue and saturation levels.
Warm Orange Tone:
- The final variation shows the flower in a warm orange hue. This could have been achieved using the “White Balance” or “Toning” tools to shift the color warmth.
Tip: To create diverse looks from a single photo, play with the “Selective” tool for individual colors and the “White Balance” for overall warmth and tones.
