The Top 100 Local Guide leaderboards have been regularly posted here on Connect for almost 3 years now and during this time, I have often said that while there is the fun and friendly competitive element in them as there is in the Local Guides program itself, more importantly, as well as being able to compare your contributions and results with others, and especially your peers, that is Local Guides at your own level, the leaderboards help you monitor your own contributions plus more.
To help you with these tasks, the system behind the leaderboards includes powerful tabulations, charting and other extensions that show you how you can improve on the quality of your contributions and the outcomes that you can achieve in terms of points, views and impact on your community. Much has been written here on Connect about these powerful features and extensions however, this information is scattered in different posts so I thought it worthwhile to bring this information together in the form of a simple index, and here it is. So if you’re interested to learn more about how you can use the features and extensions of the system behind the Top 100 Local Guides Leaderboards, then I recommend that you check out the following articles:
As well as the above mentioned posts, the Leaderboards have been the subject of a number of Local Guide Meet-ups involving great sharing of ideas and an opportunity to address issues that both existing and prospective participants had:
It’s is well summarised. Thank you dear Connect Moderator @AdamGT sir and all LG friends who have put lot of efforts to explain the various features of Top 100 Local Guides Leaderboards.
I couldn’t agree with you more @EvaBar and @PrasadVR , this is a great collection of articles from a diverse group of high achieving Local Guides and bringing them together like this hopefully makes it much easier for everyone to find and refer to. The articles cover many of the features of the system behind the Top 100 Local Guides Leaderboards,
Thank you for this list and links to these articles. It is very helpful. I’ve been a member of Connect and a Local Guide for quite a few years now, but became an infrequent visitor due to the lack of core information, comments and advice on what I was fundamentally doing as a Local Guide. It’s nice to be able to visit again and find information and advise on what is of interest to me.
Great lists here, really appreciate this post and I’m sad I didn’t see this earlier! I’ve been a Google Local Guide & Part of Connect for half a decade now and I’m so thankful for it. Still learning how to do everything here and on Top100localguides site, like star photos and vip status, but one thing I do know how to do is contribute .
Thank you @AdamGT for sharing with us this informative post and putting together all the important post links in one. I am sure it would be great help for all of us and it will our clear our doubts (if any).
Thanks for your message @CruiseCycle and on behalf of everyone, I do hope that you visit more frequently and are able to find information and advice on what interests you.
Thanks for your comment @GasparKaren . Each of these posts show that the Leaderboards are much more than being about ranking of Local Guides. I do hope that you too will learn more about and take advantage of the powerful features available in the Leaderboards System.
I know you’re busy, but could you please update the tables in this post because this summary information is very helpful. Also, please consider adding my recent post to this table.
Thanks for reminding me @PrasadVR . I actually meant to update the extensions index after I read your New-feature Star View History post but unfortunately I had other things jump up in priority on my radar and I just hate when that happens
