Hi everyone! I’m Ryu and I’ve been traveling around the world for the past four years.
Back in Japan, I used to run a curry restaurant for four years. The place was so small, it only seated four customers.
Some of the customers found my place by chance, while others saw online reviews that said my place as small yet serving great food.
As a business owner, I always knew how powerful and important reviews are. However, since my restaurant was mainly targeted at Japanese customers, I rarely had tourists from other countries.
Posting reviews in Google Maps means that I can share my honest opinions with others, just like recommending a restaurant to a friend. Posting hidden gems and places that are not targeted for tourists, is an opportunity for visitors to travel and experience the country like a local.
The ability to share my thoughts on unique location and hidden gems is the most rewarding aspect of being a Local Guide.
The most wonderful part of being a Local Guide is the power to deliver local and authentic knowledge and opinions to the global audience.
