Winter Illumination - Tokyo German Village

Tokyo German Village (東京ドイツ村, Tōkyōdoitsumura) is a German theme based amusement park. Certainly its not a symbolic vilage, not in the Tokyo, its 2 hrs drive from central Tokyo, located in Sodegaura, Chiba prefecture.

The park is famous for flower garden, ferris wheel, golf course, zoo, amusement rides, weekend activities like vegetables and fruit harvesting,
crafting and seasonal Illumination Lighting which scheduled from November 1, 2024 to April 6, 2025. So I definitely recommend to visit there on this period of time.

In the early 80’s the founders want to set golf course on the hills of sodegaura. Construction also began, but for a certain cause the constructional work had paused. Then founder got a trip to Germany. After he returned suddenly he realized the countryside of Germany got similarity with hills of sodegaura. So the Founder got inspired to architect German culture, harmony, cuisine to the hills on Sodegaura. The park opened on 2001. Back to 2006 the illiluminating concept was inaugurated.

Over 3,000,000 LEDs are simulated in same, opposite and simultaneous pattern in lantern mode that reflect a specific designed on eye. On a clear day you, if you are lucky get experience the Mount Fuji San. Illuminating big sunflower, rainbow tunnel, house, cute Animal attracted both children and adults. The market area consists of German building also lighten up with LEDs. The theme of the illumination is Gulliver’s Travels. The main theme of the illumination is being changes in every year.

Several segments exists there, park area, Lake area, country area and market area. Various ride cost different. If anyone paid for full 1 day Admission can enjoy entry with unlimited rides. The Market area have the German bakery, fire activities, magic show everything is incomparably beautiful here. The German architecture, building are lighted the brightest.

My favourite theme was the Jurassic theme. Felt the jungle book adventure, so many animals and creatures were slighted. The live showcase of t-rex, albertosaurus, allosaurus and mamy dinosaurs were exhilarating. The riding car always move on for the ride of whole jurrasic park. Interestingly the riding car had no driver. Of course riding charge was on. The vibe, the roar of the dinosaur was very entertaining.

We are allowed to bring our own meals. Ther are picnic tables. Also can enjoy as a picnic vibes. The whole day spent tremendously well.

A German-themed village in Japan sounds unusual @Trishatishu
Nevertheless, it looks fascinating.
Wonderful photos - I like them all :+1:

But since they have an entry fee, that is a downside.
I visited a theme village in Japan last year - they had free entry.
