Your most viewed single photo?

Congratulations to the many LGs with astronomical total photo views. When reading through the fantastic achievements in this part of Connect I wondered which single photo achieved the most views! As of today mine is the photo shown above which, as you can see, has over 1.2 millions views. Interesting to me is that it’s a photo not of a great cafe or restaurant, not of a delicious plate of great food or drink, not of an amazing landscape, building, or sculpture, but just a rather unimpressive photo I took inside a local hardware store!!! So what does this mean or is it simply that we will never know which of our photos will become the star?

Local Guides, I’m sure we’d all love to see which is your single most viewed photo, so display it here! Out of all photos on Google Maps, wouldn’t it be interesting to see the most single viewed photos? Is there a reason why sometimes the least expected photo can be the star?

UPDATES:
23 March, 2020 my above photo is still the star and has 1.6 m views.
23 July, 2020 the star photo is still the star at 2.7m views

I do not have such an astronomical number of views for any single photo @AdamGT
However, I remember a post by @NeerajKumarIndia claiming 2.5 million views for one.

Let’s get an update on that from the LG.

Looks like the Photo you took from Google Photos is NOT from “Shared Folder?”- kindly check…

Yes, true… these are huge values…

My inferences…

{A}

Usually these values “Grow” up to less than 3 Million, in normal cases (what I have observed)…
Then it stops…
In many cases, I have noticed that this happens with First Photo of a POI, which has some importance, (tourist attraction, Malls, etc)

For me it MIXED feeling… View the Photo…

We do not understand their Algorithm… fully…

@TravellerG Mine is not even close to a million views. One person I notice is SunPanupong, he got 251 millions views for total. This makes me curious about the algorithm.

When a photo is featured, then the view count increases by leaps and bounds.

However, my view is: continue consistent contributions and do not dwell much in “likes” and “views”.

Nevertheless, use that information to improve future additions.

I certainly agree with you @TravellerG , we do not know what the algorithm is however, your observations are interesting… so you say that the view count usually “Grow” up to less than 3 Million then stop and this usually happens with the first photo of a POI. Congratulations @TravellerG on your million+ astronomical photo views counts.
