basics of 360 photography

Basics of 360 photography:

  • Equipment: To take 360 photos, you will need a camera and a tripod. Some cameras have built-in 360 photography capabilities, while others require a special lens or rig.
  • Shooting: To shoot a 360 photo, you will need to take a series of overlapping photos of the scene. This can be done manually or automatically, depending on your camera.
  • Stitching: Once you have taken your photos, you will need to use stitching software to stitch them together into a single 360 photo. There are a variety of stitching software programs available, both free and paid.

Tips for taking great 360 photos:

  • Choose your location carefully. Avoid shooting in places with a lot of clutter or objects that are too close to the camera.
  • Be aware of your surroundings. When shooting 360 photos, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and avoid including any personal information in the frame.
  • Take multiple shots. It is always a good idea to take multiple shots of the same scene. This will give you more options to choose from and will also help to ensure that you have a good shot of the entire scene.
  • Use editing software. Once you have stitched your 360 photos together, you may want to use editing software to adjust the brightness, contrast, and other settings.

Here are some tips for 360 photography:

  • Use a tripod or other steady surface. It is important to keep your camera steady when shooting 360 photos, as any movement can cause blurring or stitching errors.
  • Choose your location carefully. Avoid shooting in places with a lot of clutter or objects that are too close to the camera. This can make it difficult for the stitching software to stitch the images together correctly.
  • Be aware of your surroundings. When shooting 360 photos, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and avoid including any personal information in the frame.

Once you have mastered the basics of 360 photography, you can start to experiment with more advanced techniques, such as adding virtual reality elements to your photos or creating 360 videos.

I hope these tips help you to take amazing 360 photos!

Re: basics of 360 photography

That is very interesting, my dear friend, @Ptrivedi

Very happy to see your first contribution.

Except for some repeated points, other points are important.

However, there are fewer people using this method.

Today, most of the 360 photos are captured by dedicated cameras.

Of course, 360 camera prices also have come down a lot.

Let me start with an important point: Street View & 360s are not a part of LG Connect any more.

In LG Connect, Photography, Travel, Food & Drink, Local Stories, Meet-ups and How-tos, and Achievements are the contributive topics, as of now.

Hope to see your experiences in these topics, please.

Best wishes for all success.
