An avid world traveler and ex-pat, Kristin now calls the United Kingdom home. Despite moving around, the one thing that remains a constant is her desire to help others on Google Maps.

After using Google Maps to navigate her four hour commute many years ago, Kristin learned that she could give help others by contributing to Google Maps and eventually, "It gets to the point where the points and the badges don't even matter anymore; just knowing that collectively everyone who is a part of the Local Guides community is making such a positive impact in the world."

Kristin's imagery contributions are beloved by the community as being absolutely stunning, focusing on the little details like a floral arrangement at a local pub or a video of the sun setting at a beach on vacation, giving everyone serious wanderlust. While this year was especially challenging for Kristin due to personal reasons, it didn't stop her from feeling compelled to help others through her contributions, and we're glad she did!
