Lawyer by day, foodie by night, Abuja Local Guide Zino is all about discovering the best food for locals and tourists alike by documenting her experiences on Google Maps as well as on her Abuja-based blog.

Holding a special place in her heart is Waffle Way, which is where Zino's Local Guides journey began. She said, "...Over a plate of pancakes, my friend and I complained about how hard it was to find delicious and affordable food in Abuja so I decided to start documenting...then one day, I received a prompt to add a photo on Google Maps and that was how I discovered Local Guides which gave me the opportunity to help even more people and connect more people easily through posting reviews, giving ratings, fact checking and answering questions."

This year, Zino felt the need for community even more than ever. Channeling her love for food, Zino became an active Connect member, focused mostly on-you've guessed it-food posts. Putting a Nigerian or Abuja-specific lens on these posts has helped to increase awareness and appreciation of local cuisine. Be warned; her photos will make you hungry!
