Oliver began his Local Guides journey in 2016, writing reviews and taking photos wherever he visited, quickly rising to Level 8 thanks to his nearly 7,000 photos that have received over 60 million views!

He is most passionate about photography, really focusing on visual storytelling through nature photography, street photography, black and white photography, and more to bring folks with him on his explorations of Auckland. In addition to being a dedicated photographer, Oliver spent time in 2021 helping local schools to increase their photos and videos on Google Maps to help parents and students alike in understanding what a school has to offer.

Oliver recently shared, "Local Guides means all of these things: a plate of Kung Pao chicken, a cup of chai latte, a bowl of beef vindaloo, a trip to your local store, sightseeing or road trip etc. It's everyday life.
