Brian is an extremely active Local Guide on Google Maps, sharing highly detailed reviews accompanied with photos and short videos. He brings that attention to detail and desire to help others into the activities-from food crawls to welcoming new businesses-he organizes for fellow Indonesian Local Guides in his hometown of Batu.

Nothing could stop Brian from bringing the community together these past two years, helping to keep their spirits up through meet-ups when it was safe to do so. In fact, Brian recently changed work locations, traveling 300 km from home each day, and took this as an opportunity to build up the Local Guides community in Banyuwangi.

He also creates a variety of lists dedicated to sharing places in his area like Business list of Batu, suitable cafes for Instagram, Selorejo camp adventure, exploring Banyuwangi, and more.

"I feel proud to be known as a Local Guide and my happiness is increased when I hear from business owners that the place we added has been more visited by people," he said. "Hopefully what I and our community have done can be useful for others."
