With this past year's restrictions only affording David thirty minutes of outdoor activity, it was time to get creative: "A trip to the supermarket or coffee shop brought excitement to my mundane social life. I thought smart: how can I contribute to the Local Guides community using my exercise allowance? With the assistance of my bike and the Google Maps app, I had a plan: explore local cafes, more importantly, cafes I have never been to before. New faces, new surroundings. It helped my mental well-being immensely. I also began to feel more connected with my local community," said David.
