Mahbub has also led workshops and meet-ups for new Local Guides to plant trees in the area. What is your favorite place, experience, photo or video you contributed to Google Maps this year?
My favorite place I've helped contribute to is my hometown, Homna. I know all the roads, local shops, schools in this area and I've tried to update any inconsistencies I find on Google Maps with photos and videos.

What advice do you have for other Local Guides?
My advice to all Local Guides is to add to Google Maps according to the rules. Our neighborhood and community benefit greatly from the most objective and factual information that gets added; every small contribution helps!

What do you like most about the Local Guides community?
The activity and diversity of the Local Guides community brings a ton of knowledge with it. I'm able to learn constantly from the platform on different cultures, cuisines, ways of life, and technology. I find this incredibly useful in planning travel to countries around the world.

What makes a place or experience worth rating/reviewing?
Ratings and reviews are very important in how we understand our environments today. As a Local Guide, I think most places are worth reviewing to better plan how to make the most of our time and lives with others, so we can prioritize the experience itself, first and foremost. With the more objective opinions available, the better for communities everywhere.

What is your favorite feature of maps?
My favorite feature is writing and reading reviews in Google Maps.
