What advice do you have for other Local Guides?
Maps users need to be able to understand what excites you for your reviews to be really useful to them. Everyone is different! So, adding a little personal color helps with how they will connect with your review.

What do you like most about the Local Guides community?
I love being able to share the gems that I find, making it easier for other people to find them and really help local businesses do well. We all want that local gem to stay open!

What makes a place or experience worth rating/reviewing?
For bars, pubs, cafes, hotels and restaurants - simple things done really well. Be it really sharp, clean-lined decor, fantastic and personal service or a small number of ingredients really well treated by the cook. For a location or destination - if I feel like I absolutely have to take a photo of it then I'm pretty sure someone else will want to know about it.

What is your favorite feature of Google Maps?
My favorite feature is the ability to get directions on foot and public transport.
