What is your favorite place, experience, photo or video you contributed to Google Maps this year?
I started as a Local Guide around 9 months ago, focusing on restaurants - from Michelin-starred ones to typical lodges in the mountains: the important thing is, whatever their level of service is, that they are able to provide memorable experiences. This summer I spent most of my spare time exploring the Dolomites, the mountain area of the Veneto region in Italy. My favorite place in the Dolomites area is called Falcade, where I had the chance to add a small street and two new places (a waterfall and a lovely walking area). My internal shot of Capanna Cima Comelle reached over 20,000 views in just 3 weeks!

What advice do you have for other Local Guides?
Be authentic, and don't be anxious to get points by posting tons of short reviews, which risk being unhelpful for others. Be attentive while writing a review. Explaining your experience in detail will be appreciated by others.

What do you like most about the Local Guides community?
I like that in this community you can find inspiration and motivation! Inspiration to take better pictures, for instance, that can help others better understand a specific place. Motivation to continue posting, reviewing and updating Google Maps, helping others discover the world, inspiring other travelers and influencing them through our contributions.

What makes a place or experience worth rating/reviewing?
When it gives you memorable experiences and long-lasting memories.

What is your favorite feature of Google Maps?
Since I am a foodie, of course finding new restaurants to taste, searching in the area where I am, and discovering their rating and reviews! I love looking for new restaurants that I save in my bucket list. Another feature of Maps that I find very helpful is the real time traffic updates. It allows me to find the best way to reach a place without losing too much time in a traffic jam!
