Every visit to a new location prompts a host of questions to visitors, and Mukul has used that opportunity to become a dynamic storyteller on Local Guides Connect. Throughout 2022, Mukul's hosted and participated in several meet-ups and organized fun community challenges, like the #FoodChallenge and #NewYearInApril challenge where Local Guides shared stories about restaurants they visited and local traditions.

What is your favorite place, experience, photo or video you contributed to Google Maps this year?
This year I visited India for the first time. During this visit I saw so many beautiful places. Among them were the Holy Kedarnath Temple of Uttarakhand. I feel lucky I got a rare chance to see these amazing places.

I have published several posts in the Connect Forum on my tour to India this year. Moreover, I became the guest host twice in our online #StateChallenge meet-up.

What advice do you have for other Local Guides?
Local Guides should take special care about the quality of photos they share. If they take photos with a little care, photos can be more attractive and informative. We should take photos and videos of a point of interest from various angles. We should also be more descriptive in our reviews — authentic information is a must! We must take care to mention the accessibility features.

What do you like most about the Local Guides community?
This is a platform of creative people from all over the world. Local Guides share their experiences, culture, food, environment, etc., which is a very unique feature of this community. Through this community Local Guides come to know each other personally.

What makes a place or experience worth rating/reviewing?
Sometimes, it is impossible to show all of the features by photos and videos only. In that case, ratings or reviews can be very handy. Through reviews, we can share the hidden gems of any point of interest.

What is your favorite feature of Google Maps?
I like the satellite view of Google Maps very much. It helps me get to any point of interest very easily.
