Denise truly embodies the spirit of the Local Guides community. She lives her life with adventure, traveling the United States full-time in her RV. This experience inspired her to create lists on Google Maps to help others find rest stops and campgrounds. She also supports and reviews small businesses around the country through her contributions on Google Maps.

"I started being a Local Guide when we began our life on the road within the United States," she told us. "We no longer live in a permanent home or in one city. We have a mobile living lifestyle in a Class A RV motorhome. We typically change our location once a month. Our goal is to visit all of the United States (or at least every state)."

She has remained positive through 2020 and focused on her goal of creating helpful contributions. "This year, I have been taking (and posting) photos of businesses to be able to show their compliance with COVID-19 safety guidelines," she said. "I have found that it's important to stay positive, upbeat and honest, and embrace all businesses and people on Google Maps, in Local Guides Connect, and in meet-ups."

She says that Google Maps is the most important application in her life as it makes her current living situation significantly easier. "I recognize that it was the Local Guides before me that have helped us find the best on Google Maps," she said. "I became a dedicated Local Guide because I want to 'pay it forward' for the next person or visitor [looking for] the best on Google Maps."
