One thing rings true about those in the Local Guides community: They love to help people. Deliana, a doctor in Indonesia, is passionate about helping others, both people and small businesses. One of Deliana's favorite ways to help is making sure information related to accessibility is updated on Google Maps in her area as she said this type of information is not widely available in Indonesia.

She is also focused on supporting small businesses as they face pandemic-era challenges. "Hopefully these small steps will have an impact on our society," she said. One small business she helped was Sunyi House of Coffee and Hope in Jakarta. "I reviewed it on Google Maps and I invited the founder to my first disability meet-up," she told us. "This cafe is an extraordinary coffee shop that employs disabled people. They're not only a business, but also a company dedicated to offer solutions for those with disabilities, providing ideas, education and job opportunities."

Like nearly everyone around the world, her life changed greatly this year, but she also found a positive effect: "By actively engaging on Connect and attending many virtual meet-ups, I learned many things from awesome Local Guides around the world," she told us. "I learned ways that Local Guides support small businesses and accessibility, my personal interests. The Local Guides program has launched many new features that have not only enriched the Google Maps app, but have also had an impact on society, which we are proud of."
