There's a reason Paul has over 122 million views on his Google Maps photos. He is known in the community for sharing his knowledge in a variety of topics, especially photography, which he has over 30 years of experience in.

Paul previously hosted a series of in-person meet-ups called "36 Photo Walks" where participants were challenged to take exactly 36 photos in an effort to be mindful about the quality of each photo. In 2020, he was unable to organize meet-ups like this in the same way, so he got creative. This year, Paul launched a series of virtual workshops, so Local Guides from around the world could benefit from his expertise. "I had been planning to do a live workshop meet-up series for the Melbourne Local Guides community on photography and had started working on material," he told us. "When COVID-19 lockdown happened, I had to pivot because doing it live simply wasn't an option anymore."

He started doing weekly photography workshops virtually that were timed to maximize attendance from Local Guides around the world. This was met with a huge positive reaction from the community and has even inspired a new series called Point Click Guide.
