2. Location: Playa del Carmen, Mexico

3. What I love about being a Local Guide: Helping people through my authentic and objective reviews about the service and experiences I have during my travels around the world. I’ve been traveling mostly around Mexico and Europe (last year I did a roadtrip from Sweden to Portugal).

4. My favorite thing to explore: Historical sites — the more history a place has, the better.

5. Fun fact about me: I love all sports and learning songs in different languages to play on my guitar.

As a woman@localGuides, I have spent the last 6 plus years contributing to the #GoogleMaps from my travels across the #USA, #Caribbean and #Europe. My latest cruise adventure for 21 days spanned from Spain to a lot of Greek Isles and even Turkey.
I have 45,000 photos in my iphone to share from my trips and once all are posted I want to know how I rank in terms of my #contributions to others in the world. I expect to hit my goal of posting the photos from #Europe and reaching level 10 Local Guide status in the next two weeks. Stay tuned as I will celebrate with you once I make this a reality. My photos have more than 189 million views and my reviews of businesses over 484,000 views. I would like to know how that compares to others in this community and if that’s common or a more unique result of contributing more than 15,000 photos to the Google Maps.

1. Name: Murat.

2. Location: Izmir, Turkey.

3. I do the local guide service to help people and businesses. I write down every situation that I see positively and negatively in my comment. If the business I’m commenting on has made a change for the better, I edit my comment from the beginning and resend it.

4. My favorite thing to explore: I love to visit historical sites, I imagine the people who lived there at the time. How they built is intriguing. What kind of problems did they have to deal with? How to feed themselves, how to protect themselves from enemy invasions, how to fight big diseases that seem so simple to us now. I feel very different emotions because every stone, relic, symbol has a meaning and a connection to something else, and they did it ages ago, when we didn’t have the technology we have today. At the same time, I feel that they are more advanced than us. Everything has a meaning in their life.

5. The fun fact about me: My greatest strength is patience. I don’t put a plan into action without being absolutely sure that it can be completed effectively. I believe that I should continue as I started. Starting too early can lead to an emotional miscalculation. I don’t do anything until everything is in place. I calculate and control my decisions instead of making decisions based on experience and ego. I usually keep my emotions out of it and just do what needs to be done.

Having visited many historical sites around the world myself, I can so relate to your words “every stone, relic, symbol has a meaning and a connection to something else”.
